Most organisations which cater to rehabilitated or under privileged women focus on teaching them tailoring, or making food products like papad, or pickle. There is a strong need of a hobby to keep the mind fit. To cater to these needs an initiative "Living Raaga" has been started.
The initiative aims at teaching rehabilitated, lower income and under privileged women / girls some craft or art skill. They can enjoy it as a hobby or even take it up for commercial purposes. The crafts which can be taught range from making paper flower, crystal flowers, quilling, glass painting, sketching, candle making, card making, origami, soft toys, and so on.
Living Raaga is currently work with Association of people with disability, Goodwill International, Richmond Fellowship and a backward Lambani Tribal Village called Rachaiana Doddi, 15 km. from Kanakapura Town.
